Wedding Policy

Marriage is a gift of God lived out in the community of faith, the church. We rejoice at God's good gift and seek to nurture those who enter into this God-given covenant. To help sustain marriage in our culture it is vital to have roots within a Christian congregation.

Couples who seek marriage at Fir-Conway need to contact the church office (360-445-5396) to inquire about the availablity of dates and to make an appointment to meet with the pastor. The cost for weddings at Fir-Conway is $1,000. This includes the use of the facilities, the church's wedding coordinator and the pastor. The cost does not include musicians.

Weddings are open to anyone regardless of membership status, but we do require that the ceremony be performed by our pastor or an ELCA affiliated pastor. We do not allow visiting pastors or priests to conduct services in the church unless they are ELCA affiltaed. If you would like to have someone assist the pastor in your wedding ceremony please contact the church directly to discuss your options further.
